May 24: I’m always grateful for the opportunity to work on my bucket list. Visiting all National Parks, going on an African photo safari, and visiting all 50 states are just a few of the items on my list. Visiting all 50 states sounds ambitious, but thanks to a few vacations and a job that requires travel I’ve already been to 45 of them. A few, like Delaware, were on the way to somewhere else. Most I’ve spent at least one night in.
Before today the five remaining states were: North Dakota, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Rhode Island. While I didn’t spend the night in the 20 mile stretch of New Hampshire that I had to drive through to get to Maine today, I did set foot on New Hampshire soil to take this photo.
And my proof of setting foot in Maine? A visit to the flagship store of a company my dad thought very highly of – LL Bean.
