Personal Mission Statement

February 20th: The final assignment for my numerology course was to write a personal mission statement inspired by my numbers.  The attributes of the numbers help to fill in the blanks.  This should’ve been an easy task as my numbers accurately reflect my past, present and future; and I’m fairly comfortable writing about my journey.  But there are certain things I find difficult to write about, and my place in the world as defined by a mission statement is one of them.  In the end it came together and finally it is finished.

There are 4 primary numbers in a person’s profile: Fulfillment, which describes what the deepest part of me needs in order to experience fulfillment; Conscious Self, which describes how I see myself and how others see me; Life Purpose, which describes the energy I came here to embody and to express; and Natural Ability, which describes the energy, abilities and skills that run through everything I do.  My profile is fairly straight forward, the first three numbers are 5’s, a number that is about progress, exploration and change; and the fourth is a 1, a number that represents leadership of both others and self.  From what I know about myself and these numbers I wrote the following:

My Personal Mission Statement

My Life Purpose is to explore what’s possible in order to recognize potential and transform limiting beliefs.

I align my Life Purpose with my Soul’s Deepest Fulfillment desire to contribute to the betterment of society and to experience personal and professional growth through introspection, independent and collaborative study, engagement in new experiences, and connection with people.

I know myself (Conscious Self) and connect with others through courage; compassion; and my desire to inspire, support and witness transformation.

My greatest Natural Ability is the ability to weave as golden thread through the tapestry of my life the belief that life is what I make of it.  I can do anything I set my mind too.  Life is full of possibility.  Most people do the best they can and act with good intention.  I have the power of choice.

I spent so much time on this writing project I almost gave myself a pass on tonight’s blog post.  But then I realized the relevancy.  I’m grateful for this assignment.  Whether you believe in numerology or not, it’s always good to give some serious thought to how you see yourself in the world.  It can even be enlightening because in these words there is a path to follow.  In these words there is a way to assess the “best interest” potential of a new opportunity or experience.  In these words there is me.
