Mockingbirds are bullying my cat, Bryx. Apparently they are aggressive and territorial during nesting season. There must be a nest on my property.
The cat keeps going out and standing his ground. I’m a bit worried for his self-esteem. They often chase him back into the house. But other thoughts also run through my head. He’s a lazy cat and while he’s interested in the birds, it’s just not worth the effort. He’s lying in wait; the birds days may be numbered.
This has been going on for several days now. My yard feels like the backdrop for an episode of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom. Does anyone even remember that show?
