Compromise

April 25: Plans are underway for a trip back East with family.  The primary objective is to scatter my dad’s ashes off the coast of his hometown.  There are differing desires for how to spend the rest of the trip and for a brief while the plan was to, upon leaving my father’s hometown, go our separate ways, meeting up again en route to the airport on our final day.  While I don’t mind traveling alone, I’d prefer the company of my family.  So I’m grateful today that a compromise is in the works that keeps us staying in the same place so that at the very least we can share a meal and either our day or our plans for the day.
