February 12th: A storm cleared out yesterday leaving in its place a warm, sunny, spring-like day. The Pear trees are in full white bloom; the hills, usually a fire concern, are covered in a lush emerald green carpet; the trickle of water in the normally bone dry creek twinkles in the sun. A perfect day for a convertible ride through my favorite canyon with my favorite guy. A perfect day to lunch on the outdoor patio of a Mexican restaurant nestled in the canyon in the shade of the oak trees. A perfect day for a Margarita. I’m grateful to spend a few hours with my husband enjoying such a lovely day. My spirits are lifted.
